A business event is aiming to help raise money for a Christmas meal for women and children living in refuges in Newcastle.

The Festival of Business – organised by Caroline Saul, owner of the networking organisation and business training school Let’s Mingle – is a day of business development being held at the Copthorne Hotel on September 30.

The day has been designed to give business owners the chance to work on their business instead of in it, enhance marketing and sales techniques, and to remove barriers preventing personal and professional development.

Business leaders including Sarah Callender, MD of BDaily; British sales trainer of the year, Mike Lever; Masarati 100 nominated Charlotte Windbank and business coach CEO of the year Nigel Risner will be speaking on the day, amongst business owners from the region.

Cal Saul said: “We understand that business people need some flexibility when attending events, so we have a choice of packages and prices to allow people to come when suits them.

“An all day ticket is just £60 and includes lunch and free entry to the evening networking event. Alternatively half-day morning or afternoon tickets are £30 and if you just want to attend the evening network and supper, the tickets are just £10.

“Rather than just staging your normal business event, we have a number of twists including the fact that the money raised will be putting on a Christmas meal for women and children who have had to leave the family home due to domestic violence.

“It’s a really good opportunity for business people to be giving something back to the community.”

Other business supporting the event include North Tyneside Business Forum, Get Brindled, First Face to Face, Asian Business Connections, The Bigger Picture and Robson Laidler.

The event starts at 8am, 12.30pm and/or 6pm. Every one who attends will be entered into a free prize draw to win an advertising package from co-sponsor BDaily.
