The Infinite Playgrounds oak tree trunk facility in Baltic Square.

Infinite Playgrounds creates stimulating learning spaces for schools, councils and other organisations.

And for its latest work it has teamed up with the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art to provide a stunning play space for Baltic Square.

The facility, which was designed and installed free, complements the BALTIC’s summer exhibition The Playground Project, which looks at the way play has changed over the last century.

Infinite Playgrounds co-founder Sam McGeever said: “The graceful oak tree trunk play is designed for everyone, young and old, to climb on, swing from, or eat lunch on.

“To be working closely with BALTIC is an honour and a pleasure.”
