Businesses to hear plans for future of riverside

BUSINESSES are being given the chance to learn about the latest plans for developments on the north bank of the Tyne which aim to transform the local economy.

Andrew Hodgson, chief executive of Soil Machine Dynamics in Wallsend and vice-chairman of the North East Local Enterprise Partnership, is to give a talk at an open meeting being held by North Tyneside Business Forum this evening.

He will talk about how the borough’s industrial image will be changed for ever by moves to attract modern industries including the renewable energy sector and sub-sea technologies to the riverside.

The free event at the Blue Flames Club at Whitley Park in Benton starts at 5pm. It is open to registered members of the forum and other representatives of businesses in the borough.
