DEVELOPERS are looking for a food retailer to occupy land to the south of Tynemouth Station.
It is the latest phase of the renovation of the Grade II* listed Victorian station, which was officially re-opened by the Princess Royal in July after a £3.68m restoration programme.
Planning permission was granted for a store approximately 14,197 sq ft as well as 67 parking spaces and a separate service area.
It will be located at the southern end of the station concourse, allowing pedestrian access to commuters, as well as vehicle access from Tynemouth Road.
Jonathan Sykes, director at professional services firm Jones Lang Lasalle, said: “The scheme can be made ready for occupation within nine months and we are in discussions with a number of potential occupiers.”
Also available to let at the station are self-contained ground floor offices of up to 3,430 sq ft.
Full details of the proposed food store, and offices to let, are available from Jones Lang LaSalle on (0191) 230 2033.
