Ryan’s work is recognised by the deputy PM

AN APPRENTICE from a North Shields-based engineering company was recognised for his achievements at a reception hosted by the deputy prime minister Nick Clegg.

Ryan Twedell, an apprentice Chirton Engineering Ltd, attended the reception at Admiralty House, Whitehall, London, alongside fellow outstanding apprentices from across the country.

Ryan attended along with Paul Stewart, the company’s managing director, and Michael Morris, business development manager.

The trio had previously met Mr Clegg when he visited Chirton Engineering Ltd in October 2011.
