Rescue teams were called out to help remove a car that got stuck on a beach.
Members of Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade were called out at 1pm on Monday, July 27, after reports of a Land Rover Discovery 4x4 stuck in the sand at Tynemouth Haven.
On arrival, brigade members were asked by the owner of the vehicle for a hand in getting him off the beach.
After five minutes of shovelling to shift sand from around the tyres of the 4x4, the Brigade Land Rover was backed into position before it quickly towed the vehicle back onto the road.
The driver of the vehicle, who was very grateful for the help he received, was then advised to avoid the beach in the future and the Brigade returned to station.
