Residents at Earsdon Grange care home help celebrate Queen's 90th birthday.

Earsdon Grange care home, in Whitley Bay, held a ‘Fit for Royalty’ tea party for residents, friends, family and members of the public.

Nicola Bell, home manager, said: “The Queen has a special place in the hearts of many of our residents at Earsdon Grange so it was important to us that we pay tribute to her on her 90th birthday. It’s been a whole-home effort to put together our birthday party.

“Residents created patriotic-themed decorations for our coffee shop; staff and families joined us at the party; and our chef and kitchen team outdid themselves with the amazing selection of traditional British tea party foods, cakes and refreshments.

“It was a wonderful and memorable day for all involved.”
