Carols at the Quay
Seafarers and landlubbers alike enjoyed a traditional start to the festive season as they joined in carols with the Salvation Army Band North Shields.
More than 40 people attended the service at The Gut on North Shields Fish Quay, including fisheries patrol vessel St Aidan and her crew, along with Mike Hardy, chief executive of Northumberland Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority.
Supt Peter Dade gave a service of dedication and blessing for the vessel last year.
The carol singing on Sunday, November 27 was followed by mulled wine and mince pies in the Old Low Light Heritage Centre.
Organisers wish to thank the band and Bob Bell, North Shields Fish Quay Company and the heritage centre.
