Local elections may be over, but there’s still time for residents to cast their vote in the charity stakes.
The Yorkshire Building Society’s North Shields branch is set to hand over £1,000 of funding, split between three local causes.
The groups in line for a donation are the Linskill Community Development Trust, RNLI North Shields and the Chronicle Sunshine Fund.
But it’s up to the public which of the three gets the most cash, with awards of £500, £300 and £200 up for grabs.
Manager of the Bedford Way branch Nick Turnbull said: “In this campaign you will decide which charity gets the most so we hope as many people as possible will take a minute to pop in and make their vote count.”
Voting takes place in the branch and closes on Friday, May 20.
