British Transport Police (BTP) officers have released images of a man they want to trace after a case of indecent exposure on a train between Newcastle and Berwick.
Officers are keen to speak to the man in the images, who they believe has important information about what happened on the train on Tuesday, 1 September.
PC Andrew Pearson investigating said: “A man and his girlfriend were sat in coach G on the London Kings Cross to Aberdeen service when they noticed a man sat in the seats behind them was indecently exposing himself.
“When the couple challenged the man he apologised and got up and left the train.
“If you know the man in the CCTV images, who boarded the train at Newcastle, please contact BTP, as I believe he has information vital to this investigation.
“We are committed to fully investigating all reports of unwanted sexual behaviour on the transport network and are doing all we can to catch the person responsible for this unpleasant incident.”
