Celebrating work of charities

Charity is beginning '˜At Home' for three North Tyneside organisations set to benefit from a very special event hosted by North Tyneside Council.

Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade, Learning Disabilities North East and the veterans’ charity Forward Assist have been selected as the official charities of the Council Chairman.

An ‘At Home’ afternoon will be held at 3pm on Monday, April 18, in the Council Chamber, Quadrant, The Silverlink North, Cobalt Business Park, North Tyneside, NE27 0FP.

Guests will enjoy entertainment by the Northern Notes choir and local schoolchildren. There will also be light refreshments and a raffle as well as the opportunity to meet representatives of the charities.
