Chance to help make sport happen in North Tyneside

GOOD sports are being offered a helping hand.

So-called sports makers are invited to an event being arranged by North Tyneside Council next Thursday.

The session is for volunteers who make sport happen, either formally or informally, such as by organising a weekly game of football with colleagues or a run at a local athletics club.

Anyone attending the seminar will receive a free Adidas kit and meet sporting organisations able to help them organise their get-togethers.

The event – to be held at the Parks Leisure Centre in Howdon Road, North Shields – starts at 6pm and is free to attend.
