BUDDING young dancers thinking of a career in the industry are being offered a rare chance to work with a professional company.
A free project funded by North Tyneside Council is open to any young dancers aged between 14 and 18 who live in the borough.
A four-day residency takes place from April 2 to 5 at the Hadrian Leisure Centre in Wallsend, with dancers from Dora Frankel Dance.
The residency takes place from 10am to 4pm Monday to Wednesday and noon to 6pm on Thursday.

Arts development officer Kevin Wallace said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for young people interested in dance.
“It will give them a real sense of what it’s like to work as a professional dancer.
“There are no formal auditions but anyone interested does need to apply.
“It doesn’t matter what dance style people are good at – whether it’s street, jazz, ballet or contemporary. They just have to be into dance and live in North Tyneside.”
