Charitable comic to donate cash from show at the Playhouse

TOP Geordie comic Bobby Pattinson is coming to Whitley Bay this month, where he will be donating a chunk of the proceeds to charity.

Bobby Pattinson and Friends will be at the Playhouse Whitley Bay on Thursday, June 23, in aid of the Variety Club and Lily Gordon. Bobby has pledged to donate £5,000 of his proceeds from his comedy evening to five-year-old Lily Gordon’s Help Lily 2 St Louis fund.

Lily, from Whitley Bay, and her family are hoping to raise £50,000 to take her to St Louis in America for a life-changing operation which will hopefully allow Lily to one day walk by herself without the aid of a frame.

The family have raised around £32,000 so far, and have until August to raise the remainder of the money.

The comic will also be donating to the Variety Club for the purchase of a coach for disabled children at Gibside School in Whickham.

Bobby will take to the Playhouse stage with his requested special guests, including Paul Squire, and cabaret and award winning singers T J King and Paula Best.

Tickets priced at £15 are available by visiting the Playhouse in person, online at or call the box office on 0844 2772771.
