A NORTH Shields pub is urging residents to strip for charity.
The Gunner on Trevor Terrace, is raffling a signed 2010/11 Newcastle United home shirt on Sunday to raise money for the Andrew Dougal Memorial Fund.
All proceeds from the ‘Strip for Dougal’ campaign will be shared between the RVI and Freeman Hospital in Newcastle.
Andrew, a former John Spence High School pupil, died in 2007, aged 24, after suffering a liver and kidney illness.
The fund has been set up in Andrew’s memory by his parents Alison and Will, and his older brother Jamie.
So far the family have raised enough money to buy flat screen televisions and fund staff training at the Freeman Hospital.
Sunday’s draw will take place at the Gunner before the Newcastle versus Chelsea game.
Tickets are available to buy from behind the bar and cost £1 for a strip.
