CHARITY: Grateful for support

The North Tyneside and Coastal Fundraising Branch for Guide Dogs is delighted to let customers from Sainsbury’s West Monkseaton know that the amount raised in the bucket collection on May 5 was an amazing £656.45.

A million thousand thanks to everyone who contributed. I am sure shoppers had a smile after seeing the happy, waggy-tailed stars, proving how cash is used to make life so much easier for people with little or no sight.

On May 13 the fundraisers went to Matalan Killingworth to receive £1,500 raised by staff with support from the fundraising group over the year. Well done Matalan and for continuing to raise money for us.

Yet another huge thank you to the ongoing support from Boundary Mill, Shiremoor, which has adopted Guide Dogs as its charity of the year. The staff are so full of enthusiasm it makes one very emotional with gratitude.

Our group goes along and supports events, but it is the hardworking, dedicated staff who have all the ideas, and even spend their days off helping.

Yes, North Tyneside folk are just the best.

To everyone who has helped, again, a million thousand thanks from a guide dog owner who has benefited from the charity for almost 51 years.
