A charity shop is seeking more stock donations after a successful awareness day.
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) recently held a Bag It, Beat It day at Royal Quays shopping centre in North Shields, giving out dozens of bags to shoppers for them to fill with items for sale in its charity shops.
However, more donations are needed and the charity is appealing for unwanted good quality clothes, shoes, toys, books, CDs, DVDs and bric-a-brac to add to its shop stock.
Last year the BHF raised £130m from voluntary income, of which £115.5m supported research.
Anyone can take donations to the BHF shop in the Beacon Centre, North Shields, or see www.bagit.bhf.org.uk for details.
