A choir is offering residents to chance to sing without the commitment of taking part in practice sessions.
Linskill Community Choir entertained nearly 800 people when the Linskill Centre, in North Shields, opened its doors as part of the ‘Linskill Life’ celebrations during Heritage Open Days last month.
The choir led past pupils and ex-school staff in a chorus of school songs.
Following the success of the event, choir leaders have decided to hold a ‘Big School Sing’ where people can again sing school songs from their “era”.
The session will take place at the Linskill Centre, in Linskill Terrace, on Saturday, November 1, from 2pm to 4pm.
It will cost £2, including refreshments.
