Collingwood girls win title at first time of asking

Collingwood Tennis Club continued its tradition of producing winning girls' teams with victory in the Northeast mini red competition finals last weekend at Sunderland Tennis Centre.

The team of Faye Brannen, Chloe O Hanlon, Amelie Tones and Anna Elizabeth Osborne played really well and came first and third overall to win the league at their first attempt.

After having secured free Wimbledon tickets for winning the Northeast League last month, Collingwood girls 14 and under team started their Aegon League campaign with a win over David Lloyd Teesside at Priors Park on Sunday.

The team of Clara Loughlin, Jasmine Hacioglu, Anna Winship and Eleanor King all won singles and doubles in straight sets to put Collingwood top of the league after the first fixtures.
