Parents, children and staff celebrate Little Learners' first anniversary.

Little Learners offers pre-school classes for children from five months to five years.

Now owner Rachel Fay, from Gateshead, is looking to offer budding business owners to run their own classes by snapping up a licence.

The 25-year-old mother-of-one has devised fun and interactive one-hour sessions to assist children with their early writing skills, as well as their physical and social development.

Rachel said: “It’s a double celebration as we turn one this month and also welcome four new licensees to the company.

“We have had over 700 children attend a Little Learners class last year and to be now at the stage of expanding into other areas of the north east is exceeding all expectations. I am looking forward to a very busy 2016.”

The licence opportunity at Little Learners has enabled the business to expand quicker and effectively into new locations driven by demand.

Suzanne Burke-Lowe, launching the Newcastle and Ponteland Little Learners business, said: “My daughter and I have been coming to Little Learners classes for a while now and we both love it.

“It has been fantastic to see her progress from clinging to my legs the first week we were there to running around confidently as soon as we arrive, and to see her draw Christmas cards for our friends.

“I would love the opportunity to share this experience with other families.”

Little Learners adheres to the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance.

Each child attending a class receives a personal profile linked to their age appropriate EYFS goals. Parents can track their child’s development and reinforce the skills at home.
