Company should have royal support withdrawn

I WAS extremely pleased to hear that the EU Commission will not be awarding a £10m grant to Twinings, at the taxpayer’s expense.

Especially since the construction of its Polish plant will close the North Shields plant, throwing the Tyneside staff out of work.

Here is wishing North Tyneside MP Mary Glindon success in getting the Monarchy to withdraw the Royal Warrant from the products of a company who treats its British workers in this way.

It is the least the royals can do to show their appreciation for the great outpouring of loyalty on the part of their supporters during and since the recent wedding of The Duke of Cambridge.

Perhaps the EU Commission is more responsive to public outcry against unfair treatment of ordinary working people than the British Monarchy?
