A WOMAN who was born in a concentration camp during the Second World War has given an insight in her life to pupils.
Holocaust survivor Eve Clarke was one of the guest speakers at a convention held at TyneMet College by the North East British Youth Council.
More than 100 delegates heard Eve’s story about how she was born in the camp in Austria in 1945.
She talked about the deaths of her father, grandparents and other family members who were sent to concentration camps, and her emigration to the UK with her mother in 1948.
The convention also focused on child poverty, discrimination and the main issues of young people in the north east.
