CONCERT: Magnificent achievement

On behalf of Tyneside A Cappella Choir and Bay Uke, I would like to thank everyone who supported our evening of music, singing and playing at Cullercoats Crescent Club.

The event would not have happened without your encouragement and the hard work of friends, family and staff at the club.

The Beast from the East had caused us to rearrange the date, but it proved the right call. The room was packed, with everyone joining in with the ukuleles and feeling the emotion in the choir’s singing. There were times when you could have heard a pin drop.

Ticket sales and the raffle raised £1,270, a truly magnificent achievement.

The money will buy toys and equipment for a nursery I visited last year near Hangdewa in Nepal. It will make a real difference to the young children and their families who live in that area and face tough challenges every day. I know it will be much appreciated.
