Tynemouth Pool is getting ready to unveil its brand new 15-metre inflatable – the ‘Tynemouth Destroyer’.

And North Tyneside Council is celebrating with a free launch evwent on Friday, May 27, at the pool.

Pool-goers aged eight to 15 are invited to come along and challenge their friends to see if they can run from one end of the floating inflatable to the other.

It will be in the main pool from 4.30pm to 5.30pm; while toys and floats will be in the two smaller pools from 5pm to 5.30pm.

Also that afternoon, the Active North Tyneside team will be at the pool with details of their forthcoming activities and their smoothie bike.

Adults can pick up a free day pass for the Contours gym and classes; and get a free InBody assessment – innovative technology which uses an electrical pulse to precisely measure muscle mass, body fat percentage, body mass index and more.

The Tynemouth Destroyer features in the forthcoming half-term activities programme and will be a regular feature of the free Active North Tyneside No Limits swim sessions during term-time.
