Ranger has to do unpaid work

TROUBLED former Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger has been served a 12-month community order after a row with his girlfriend in a Newcastle car park.

Ranger, of Forest Hall, admitted common assault on Shakira Bicar outside the Gate entertainment complex in Newcastle at around 7pm on March 13.

At Newcastle Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, chairman of the bench Chris Robinson ordered the player to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work during a 12-month community order, nine months of which will be supervised.
