A woman was punched in the face in the toilets of a Tynemouth pub on a night out in August.

Now police are looking to trace a woman they think can help with enquiries.

The incident happened around 10.45pm on Monday, August 26, at The Salutation Inn on Front Street when a woman punched the 36-year-old in the face in the female toilets of the bar.

Officers investigating the assault have released CCTV stills of a woman they’d like to trace.

This woman was also with a man, who was wearing a blue shirt and had short light brown hair and it’s believed the man and woman may have been at an arranged ‘fight night’ in the Park Hotel earlier in the evening before going to Tynemouth village.

Anyone with any information about the incident or who recognises the woman pictured is urged to contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191.
