Critical talk for club

A THEATRE critic gave a humorous account of his work at the latest Cullercoats Men’s Club meeting.

Former teacher and director of Beamish Museum Peter Lewis is now a critic for a newspaper in Northumberland as well as writing reviews of new exhibitions for Museum General.

Using examples from a dictionary of quotes within the theatre world, he gave examples of past literary and musical critics as well as giving an insight into his own articles.

Peter added that critics were hated more than estate agents, salesmen, spin doctors and MPs.

The club meets every Wednesday between 10.30am and noon.
