Dig out donations for pet charity

A charity is calling on people to clear out their clutter and help pets in need of vets.

Veterinary charity the PDSA is in desperate need of bric-a-brac to sell in its Park View shop in Whitley Bay.

Homeware, CDs. DVDs, toys, ornaments and pictures can all be sold to raise money for the charity to treat sick and injured pets in the area.

Shop manager Malcolm Todd said: “We constantly need new donations to sell in store, and what better way to de-clutter your house and help a worthy cause at the same time than to bring your bric-a-brac to us?”

Donations of goods can be handed into the shop Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 5pm, and on Sundays, from 10am to 4pm.
