Visitors enjoy a previous book fair at the Linskill Centre.

The Linskill Centre, in North Shields, is looking for unwanted books for its book fair, which raises £6,000 a year towards running costs.

There are books for every taste, from children’s book to crime fiction, autobiographies to travelogues, and all things in between.

A spokesperson said: “This year we are looking to make it an event bigger and busier three-days, and are hoping to pack even more books into the large hall than on previous years.

“The event itself is a book-worms delight. If you don’t donate, you can come along and buy, 50p for a paperback and hardbacks for £1.”

Linskill Centre is managed by Linskill and North Tyneside Community Development Trust.

Books can be donated ahead of the Fair from Friday, April 22, to April 24.
