A borough school is flying the flag for the environment through its continued commitment.
Coquet Park First School in Whitley Bay has been awarded a Green Flag for the second time.
Staff and pupils at the school were presented with their flag by North Tyneside Council chairman Coun Tommy Mulvenna and Coun John Stirling.
Pupils were all delighted to witness the flag being raised in the school yard.
Headteacher Colleen Ward said she was delighted with the award which reflected all the hard work done by pupils and staff.
And Coun Mulvenna was impressed with the continued commitment shown by the children towards the project.
The school’s children, eco committee and staff have worked hard to maintain the standards necessary to gain the award for the second time.
