Drinks will be flowing as event returns

Glasses will be raised as a beer festival heads back to Earsdon next weekend to help collects funds for a community centre.

Following the success last year, Earsdon and Wellfield Community Centre is holding its second beer festival.

It will take place at the community centre in Church Way on Sunday, May 25, with doors opening at noon.

Local businesses have stepped forward to sponsor the event.

Admission is £5, which includes a commemorative glass, beer and food tokens and a guide to the 15 beers on offer, ranging from 3.6 per cent to ten per cent.

Other refreshments and food will be available, including chilli con carne served with pitta bread and a vegetarian option.

Local guitarists will be on hand to provide entertainment during the day.

Money raised from the event will help purchase and fit a new heating system at the community centre as well as go towards the general maintenance of the venue used by local clubs, societies and for family gatherings.

Tickets are available on the door or can be purchased in advance by calling 07922 307041.
