Two events are being held for anyone interested in taking up a role as a nurse at local hospitals.
Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is holding drop-in sessions at the new Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital in Cramlington on Thursday, August 13, and Saturday, August 15.
The trust is looking to recruit nurses in a number of areas to work at the new Northumbria hospital, at its general and community hospitals and in community-based roles.
Qualified nurses looking for full or part-time posts and those looking for a more flexible working pattern are encouraged to come along from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, August 13, or 10am to 1pm on Saturday, August 15.
At the sessions nurses will be able to talk to the matrons to find out more about the roles available and career opportunities.
Elaine Henderson, chief matron for medicine and emergency care at Northumbria Healthcare, said: “As an organisation, we truly value our nurses and the vital role they play in delivering compassionate front-line care for our patients.
“We have a number of opportunities for nurses to join us and help us deliver the highest standards of care for our patients whether that’s in an emergency situation in our new Northumbria hospital, on-going or planned care at our general or community hospitals or in the community.”
“We would encourage nurses to come along to our new Northumbria hospital and meet the team to find out more - we look forward to seeing everyone there.”
