Elected Mayor to meet with residents

Residents in Whitley Bay are being invited to find out about local issues.

Mayor Norma Redfearn and cabinet members will be attending an Elected Mayor Listens event for residents in the St Mary’s, Whitley Bay, Monkseaton North and Monkseaton South wards.

It will take place at Whitley Bay Customer First Centre on Wednesday, February 24, from 6pm to 8pm with refreshments available from 5.30pm.

There will be an update from officers including resurfacing works, major roadworks in the area and other local updates.

Residents will also be shown a short film clip on how dementia is affecting more people than ever and what they can do to help support anyone who may be affected.

Officers from Northumbria Police will also be on hand to discuss any issues residents may have.
