Established as the place to be for business
I am delighted to tell you that despite severe government cuts to our budgets, North Tyneside is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the most dynamic and exciting places in Britain to live, work, visit, study and invest.
We are determined to forge ahead with our ambitious regeneration plans and we’re keeping our promise to bring about further economic prosperity.
The borough is experiencing unparalleled business success with an increasing number of new start-ups, local companies expanding and national and global firms choosing to relocate here.
A whole new generation of entrepreneurs are now attracted to the borough and North Tyneside was recently named amongst the top five fastest growing tech clusters in the UK in a prestigious national business survey.
There has also been national recognition for the Business Factory in North Shields, awarded first prize for ‘Promoting Entrepreneurial Spirit’ by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills for the range of help and advice given to people wanting to start their own businesses, as well as fledgling businesses that need extra support.
Big business is also thriving and there’s been a surge of companies moving into Cobalt Business Park, which is the largest office development in the UK and is now 88 per cent occupied.
With so much investment and regeneration, it’s no surprise North Tyneside has firmly established itself as the place to be for business.
