Expectant mums are being offered advice and support from a host of local groups and organisations.

A special information event is taking place, bringing together businesses offering a range of services for pregnancy, birth and early motherhood.

Organised by the Birth & Baby Network with Captured Forever and Tots Play, it will take place on Sunday, at 6pm at Olives at the Station, in Whitley Bay.

Janine Rudin, owner of Birth & Baby, is an antenatal teacher, postnatal group leader, baby massage instructor and doula, as well as establishing the running of the Birth & Baby Network and Family Centre in North Tyneside.

She said: “This will be our second event and I wanted to offer a welcoming, relaxed evening for parents and mums to be, with the opportunity to chat to a range of local specialists covering pregnancy, birth, baby classes, relaxation, gifts and newborn photography. ”
