A popular event is returning to raise awareness and understanding of apprenticeships.
To mark National Apprenticeship Week, North Tyneside Council’s Connexions service is hosting its Get Up and Go training and employment event.
The session will run from 10.30am to 1.30pm on Saturday at the council’s HQ on Cobalt Business Park. Young people can drop in at any point.
This year’s event will feature around 35 employers and providers who are actively seeking to employ and support apprentices within their business.
Advisers from the Connexions service will be at the event to offer any advice or information, if necessary.
Coun Ian Grayson, cabinet member for children, young people and learning, said: “The Get Up and Go event is a great opportunity for young people and their parents to come along and learn more about the different options that are available to them in the borough.”
“This year’s event is inviting an array of businesses who will be directly looking to employ apprentices. I’d encourage as many people as possible to go along and find out more.”
