Extraordinary kindness and help of so many

ON the morning of Friday, April 1, whilst walking two dogs belonging to friends on Whitley Bay beach, I fell and broke my hip near to Rendezvous Café.

Among the complete strangers who rushed to help me were an off duty police lady who contacted my family and an ambulance on her mobile phone, two dog lovers who returned the dogs to their rightful owners, a gentleman who offered me his coat to rest my head on until the ambulance arrived and a lady who sat with me for many hours in the accident and emergency department and also visited me after my operation at Rake Lane Hospital.

To them and all the others who very kindly assisted me – my most grateful, if belated, thanks for their extraordinary kindness and help.
