A FAMILY of four from North Tyneside will take to the small screen as they become the face of a new advertising campaign.
Julia and Trevor Briscoe, from Whitley Bay, along with their two children, six-year-old Cole and four-year-old Anna, were chosen by DFDS Seaways for their TV, press adverts and direct marketing.
The family took a video camera on their family holiday in 2012 and filmed their experience, with the footage then being used to create a TV advert.
Julia said: “We were so pleased when we got the call from DFDS Seaways to appear in their adverts.
“We’ve travelled with them several times and it’s always so much fun.
“The kids really enjoy every trip from beginning to end so filming the advert was a fantastic experience for us all.
“We filmed as much of the holiday as possible and it was bizarre seeing ourselves on TV, but we enjoyed every minute of our time together.
“It was a great experience that we’ll never forget.”
The Briscoe family were one of three couples and families chosen to star in the adverts.
Catherine Jowett, advertising manager at DFDS Seaways, said: “We wanted to really portray the real-life experience of couples and families as they travel with us, and I’m pleased the adverts were able to capture the magical moments people enjoyed on their crossing with us.
“The results are fantastic.”
The TV advert is currently airing and press adverts created will run in January and February 2013.
