FAMILIES turned out in their droves for a fun day held at East Howdon Community Centre.
Residents of all ages attended the event, organised by centre staff, the police and Northumbrian Water.
Home-grown produce was on offer, as well as a tombola, face-painting, balloon-modelling and a raffle.
Pc Ivan Hart, neighbourhood beat manager for East Howdon, said: “There was a great turnout at the event, and we were pleased to be there to speak to residents.”
Jane Dunn, from Northumbrian Water, added: “Everyone had a fantastic day, and we were delighted to help.”
Pc Hart runs regular surgeries at East Howdon Community Centre for residents to raise any concerns and chat about local policing.
