Family Hub to host an Easter egg-stravaganza
A popular activities session for all the family is set to return bigger and better for Easter.
The Family Hub are organised four days of fun at the Beacon Centre over the Easter holidays.
Expected to be twice as big as the last session, there will be special guests, free taster sessions with limited numbers, face painting, activities, pop-up soft play, crafts, Easter egg hunt and more.
The sessions will take place from 10am to 3pm on Wednesday, April 12; Thursday, April 13; Thursday, April 20, and Friday, April 21.
On April 12, the sessions will be The Baby Hub at 10am, Hartbeeps music at 11am, Lingotot language session at noon, dancing at 1pm; and reflexology at 2pm.
Puddle Ducks North East will be talking about swimming classes for children.
On April 13 there will be a messy art session at 10am, dancing tots at 11am; foodies at noon, story time at 12.30pm, smoothie bike at 1pm, and a ballet and boogie at 2pm and 2.30pm.
A Musical Monkeez Interactive Sensory Story & Music Session will open proceedings at 10am on April 20, following by Amanda Hartill with Kids Bee Happy Sand Art at 11am; Saturday Stage Schools Whitley Bay holding a short performance of Oliver at noon; a paediatric first aid demonstration by Daisy First Aid Newcastle & S.Northumberland at 1pm, and a rockpool live show with sea creatures at 2pm.
On April 21, there will be a toddle and boogie intro to dance and movement walking at 10am, music and movement at 11am, sing and sign at noon, a baby and toddle group play session at 1pm, and The Children’s Activity Company Move With Peppa at 2pm.
Eden’s Cafe in Whitley Bay have donated a handmade XL milk chocolate Easter Egg for a raffle prize, with raffle tickets costing £1 per strip.
