A KILLINGWORTH company established more than 100 years is attracting a new generation of customers after expanding its services.

NBT Group is one of the longest standing business supply companies in the north east, with the founder’s great grandson Toby Bridges taking the family-run firm into a new era.

The company, whose produce range extends from adhesives to office supplies, has created three new brands to help their growth – ‘Think’, which produces industrial tapes and adhesives; ‘Definitive’ provides packaging; and ‘Sidekick’ which supplies office products to the local SME community.

Managing director Toby said: “Over the years we’ve grown the ability to develop significant know-how in the supply chain and we felt it was time to clarify the areas of our business with a new family of brands.

“We hope to continue growth on the acquisition trial with office supplies companies that, like us, are great at what they do, but want to be part of something bigger.

“We are really proud of our workforce and the work we do in the community – everyone is very excited about the next 100 years.”

NBT, set-up in 1908, employs 19 people at its base in Killingworth, and is one of the sponsors at the Newcastle Falcons.
