Thousands of food lovers flocked to North Shields for a special Bank Holiday festival.
The North Shields Proper Food Festival attracted large crowds on Saturday and Sunday (August 29 and 30) who enjoyed a wide variety of food on offer.
More than 60 stalls featuring the region’s best artisan food producers selling locally made food set up in Northumberland Square.
And the sunny weather helped to bring in an estimate 5,000 people per day, with organisers hoping to bring the festival back next year for a third time.
As well as a huge array of hot food producers, there was also a fully licensed bar selling real ales and ciders, a wine and cocktail bar, and fairground rides for children.
