Travel for young people and plans for road safety will be discussed at a North Tyneside Transport Forum meeting.
Residents are welcome at the meeting, on September 23, between 6pm and 8pm at the Oxford Centre, West Farm Avenue, Longbenton.
The forum – organised by North Tyneside Council in response to suggestions from residents and the Tyne and Wear Public Transport Users Group – provides an opportunity for people to help shape future plans and share views on public transport.
Forum chairwoman Fiona Swindell said: “It was great to see so many people attend the first meeting and I look forward to more people getting involved to share their views and raise the profile of public transport through the forum.”
The meeting will include a short presentation from Nexus on initiatives which encourage young people to use public transport.
A council representative will give a presentation on North Tyneside’s Road Safety Strategy.
Debate and suggestions will be invited and there will be opportunities to suggest other public transport-related matters for future discussion.
