FOULING: Please be respectful

According to Mark Holmes (News Guardian, March 31), “Tynemouth has a dog problem.”

I am sorry to say that there is also one in Preston Cemetery.

On visiting my parent’s grave there, I was shocked to find excrement on a main thoroughfare. I then spoke to someone who had found the same around a grave.

It is difficult enough for people who have lost a loved one to visit the cemetery without finding dog excrement on the path, or by their loved one’s grave, so dog owners, please be respectful to the dead and clean up after your pet.

Thank you.
