Boruough residents are being invited to take part in a new survey which will help lay the foundations for future quality housing.
The council is asking householders to help them get an up-to-date picture of housing requirements across the borough.
The survey, which is being undertaken by Arc4, will be sent out this week, and covers a wide range of questions aimed at helping the council understand current and future housing requirements.
All the information supplied will be confidential, and surveys need to be returned by September 27.
Coun John Harrison, cabinet member housing and environment, said: “Housing policy affects everyone in the borough, whether they are home owners, or tenants.
“The population is constantly changing and the council must have up to date, relevant information so that it can assess and plan for current and future housing needs.
“I’d ask everyone who receives this survey to try to set some time aside to fill it in as it’s important that we have the right information to inform our policies.”
