Full steam ahead for five students

Engineering students at TyneMet College with an interest in the rail industry went full steam ahead to an event organised by Gen Y Rail – North East at the Hancock Museum in Newcastle.

Poppy Baxter, Rachel Waterworth, Ben Wheatley, Anthony White, and Will Best heard presentations by apprentices and graduates working in the rail industry.

The students also met with employers and took part in a challenge to design a new freight train.
