Thrillseeker Sonya Roe decided to mark her 50th birthday by raising funds for Age UK North Tyneside.

The customer operations manager at the charity has completed an underwater helicopter survival challenge and North Sea Dash, and climbed Ben Nevis.

And now she has added a 10,000ft parachute jump to the list.

Pals Abigail Parker and Andy Rowley also took part, raising £1,000 so far.

Sonya said: “The past year has been a concentrated effort to celebrate my 50th birthday milestone in a memorable and unique way while raising much-needed funds for a charity that is close to my heart.”
