Filming of the reality TV show Geordie Shore has had to be suspended after two of its stars, including Wallsend’s Vicky Pattison, were arrested on suspicion of assault.
The incident is believed to have taken place in Florita’s Bar in Newcastle in the early hours of Wednesday morning when a woman was allegedly assaulted.
Twenty-five-year-old Pattison and her co-star Holly Hagan, 20, from Thornaby in Teesside, were arrested on suspicion of assault and have been bailed for enquiries.
Police said an 18-year-old woman was taken to the RVI in Newcastle for treatment and has now been released.
MTV and Lime Pictures, who are behind the Tyneside-based reality TV series, said in a statement: “Following an incident during filming that has led to a police enquiry into an alleged offence by a member of the cast, MTV and Lime Pictures have temporarily suspended filming of Geordie Shore series seven pending further enquiries.
“The decision has already been taken to remove certain cast members from the production process for the time being.”
