Golf tournament will raise cash for Callum’s op

A GOLF tournament is being held tomorrow to raise money for a youngster saving up for an operation he hopes will transform his life.

Old Hartley’s Delaval Arms Golf Society is holding a charity day at Tynemouth Golf Club in aid of cerebral palsy sufferer Callum Brown.

The seven-year-old and his parents Sharon and Neil, of Seaton Sluice, are trying to raise £50,000 so he can undergo a life-changing operation in America.

They have already raised more than £32,000 towards the bill for the surgery, to be carried out at St Louis in Missouri.

Various prizes will be on offer at tomorrow’s tournament.
