Golfer flown to hospital after suffering heart attack

A man was flown to hospital after suffering a heart attack at a golf club.

The Great North Air Ambulance was called to take the man to hospital.

The Great North Air Ambulance was called to Whitley Bay Golf Club today (Monday) at 11.30am after reports that a male in his 60s had collapsed in the car park.

Doctors and paramedics worked to resuscitate the patient, who was flown to hospital in a life-threaning condition.

After a six-minute flight, his condition on arrival was described as ‘critical’.
